The ultimate marriage of lightness, stiffness and versatility.

HISTORY

The Northern California Coast and Santa Cruz Mountains are steeped in road riding history. To honor it, we named our top-level crank Zayante, after the fabled redwood-covered climb so-named – secret training ground for many local pros. A name fitting...our Zayante inspired by the trees and turns continues the legacy in the county.

NOT ALL CARBON IS EQUAL

HOME GROWN

Made exclusively in our own carbon lab, the Zayante is a home grown product from start to finish.   From initial napkin sketches, to rapid prototyping, revision after revision, exhaustive testing and certification for production.  Developed and made In-House with our own hybrid "RTM+Filimant Winding" manufacturing methods...all done by our dedicated team, all Praxis,  all for you.

MULTI USE

DO EVERYTHING

Today bikes need to tackle not only smooth roads, but also beat up gravel and every so often, side routes with plenty of cobbled up pavement.  The Zayante and it's direct mount interface can easily tranform from 2X or to 1X with just 3 bolts.   So whateve your ride route or need may be...Build it up as you please and how you want.    It is modular and does everything equally well.

TWO LEVELS

THE ZAYANTE CARBON

With it's elegant and shapely carbon arms the Zayante is in a class of its own. This past year we went further and update it with our new LevaTime II X-Spider and X-rings.  Now weighing in at a feathery 620 grams  (172.5 50/34)  the  Zayante Carbon has improved on it's already solid reputation as the go-to crank carbon crank for riders globally.

CARBON FOR ALL

THE "S" VERSION

SIMPLE | We know options are important.  So new this year we’ve introduced the Zayante Carbon-S.  The Zayante Carbon “S”  is our brand new economical version of our Zayante Carbon.  We took the same beautiful carbon crank arms but we built it up with a simplified and elegant version of our cold forged LevaTime II X-rings.  Who says Carbon cranks are only for those with deep pockets?

LEVATIME II - SPIDER AND RINGS

X MARKS THE SPOT

This season we updated the Zayante with our new LevaTime II X-Spider and X-Rings.  Now based on 5mm thick aluminum plate forging, we’ve added more unique shift features, redesigned the shift pins, and improved overall stiffness of the ring which means even faster and more snappy shifting than ever before.   The Zayante with LevaTime II gearing is offered in 48/32, 50/34, 52/36 and 53/39.  So with an updated Spider and updated rings…our "LT2" shifting has gone to a whole new level.   Available as upgrade kits also.

DESIGN. BUILD. RIDE. REPEAT.   Words we live by and are at our core.

ZAYANTE  GRAVEL / CYCLOCROSS

1X GEARING FOR ALL

MODULAR | 1X setups have become a mainstay in the cyclocross and gravel scenes and we have you covered with our direct-mount Wave Tech rings.   So much so that we have basically every gear you could possibly want for 1X Gravel/CX.  36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48 and 50.  Like we said...we've got you covered.  The 1X  Wave™ tooth pattern swings right to left alternating lateral force to each chain link to actively retain the chain.

AFTERMARKET POWER COMPATABILITY

"BECAUSE OPTIONS..."

We know power is important, and having options is key. Thanks to the Zayante Carbon’s 3-Bolt direct-mount interface, riders can easily go purchase and mount a compatable aftermarket spider-based power meter from companies like Power2Max or SRM.  Other options include power meter pedal systems from Garmin, LOOK or even meters like the VeloComp Power Pod.   Options are always good.

CYCLING TIPS.CARBON

“The Zayante Carbon is a winner in my book, and well worth considering if you’re looking to downsize your gearing. They’re lightweight and stiff, reasonably priced, shift smoothly and consistently, and are chock-full of options for both gearing and frame fitment. From a performance and value standpoint, that’s a tough combination to beat.”

PEZ CARBON

“The Praxis Zayante Carbon Cranks give you 1x and 2x from micro-compact to 53/39 compatibility in a single crank. Lighter arms than Dura Ace (and less expensive) and excellent M30 BBs compatible with 90+% of all frames manufactured today…”

ROAD.cc carbon

“Shifting is impressive, as is the stiffness. The Zayante stacks up pretty well, though, at £300 when you compare it to some of the competition. There’s a huge selection of bottom brackets to choose from : the Zayante will work with BSA, BB86, 386 EVO, BB30, PF30, T47, BBRight and the older Specialized OSBB. The Zayante is a very good chainset in all aspects, especially if you want the option of the sub-compact ring sizes…”
