WHAT IS IT : 

C.R.A.F.T.  The carbon manufacturing method our Praxis engineering team pioneered.  It is a hybird process of Dry-Fiber Resin Transfer Molding with Filament Winding.  We married two great methods into one.

WHY WE DO IT :

It's a unique process that we can consistently repeat to create strong and lightweight components for riders. An added benefit is the process is very clean with virtually no sanding or carbon dust to deal with. This is great for our Praxis factory employees.

HOW DO WE DO IT :

With some of the most precise steel tooling all made in-house.  Praxis mastered this  “Hybrid” automated process as it allows us to create complex composite structures that exhibit superior strength-to-weight ratios

Our cutting-edge proprietary manufacturing method represents a groundbreaking fusion of two advanced techniques: Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) of Dry Fiber with Filament Winding.  

RTM

This process is known for its ability to infuse resin into complex shapes, ensures precise resin distribution, minimal voids, and exceptional surface finish. 

FILAMENT

Filament Winding, on the other hand, excels in creating high-strength composite structures by precisely orienting continuous fibers along load-bearing paths.

This innovative process leverages the precision and consistency of RTM with the structural integrity and flexibility of Filament Winding.

RFID INSIDE

For quality and control of our carbon product, we keep close track of every manufacturing detail.  Information is stored within an RFID chip inside the carbon.  This allows us to stay on top of all ingredients, process, revisions and history of every carbon product    

IT'S WORTH IT.

Fusing these manufacturing techniques is not easy...but it allows us to create complex composite structures that exhibit superior strength-to-weight ratios, making it ideal for bicycle cranks like the Zayante or Lyft where lightweight and high-strength is essential. That makes it worth it.
